♥ Lei Kamoe
A gorgeous traditional “Lei Kamoe” in which hundreds of tiny feathers are individually knotted around a central core. Once the exclusive province of the Ali’i or Hawaiian royalty, this ancient art survives today in the hands of a few featherworkers. This lovely piece bears the unique style of contemporary artist Nikki Kalanimalie, featuring her signature use of random colored feathers in a “tweed” pattern. The striking central cockade of feathers is also a mark of her work.
Hand made polymer “lava” terminal beads are a hallmark of all Kamoe lei. Each lei is numbered and archived with a signed certificate
